Guisborough Town Hall Background Information

Redcar and Cleveland Council purchased Guisborough Town Hall in 2015 having identified the importance of the building to the town and to save it from ongoing deterioration. Surveys and urgent works were then carried out to make the building safe and watertight.

Consultation events and tours of the town hall took place on the 20 and 21 June 2016 followed by a feedback workshop at Sunnyfield House on Tuesday 12 July 2016 to present the results of the consultation and discuss the options.

Next Steps for Guisborough Town Hall Consultation

A further meeting was held on 25 August 2016 at Sunnyfield House to discuss next steps for the building including the opportunity for the community to form a reference group to develop their proposals and seek funding for their project.
