The Blue Badge Scheme

If you are disabled, a Blue Badge will help you park close to your destination, whether you are a passenger or a driver. The badge is intended for on-street parking only. Off-street car parks such as those provided by local authorities, hospitals and supermarkets are governed by separate rules. You should familiarise yourself with the rules on where to park which are contained in the guidance leaflet which is provided with all Blue Badges.

Blue Badges are for the use of the holder only and it is down to the holder to ensure it is used properly. It is a criminal offence for the holder or anyone else to misuse the badge and doing so could lead to a £1,000 fine and confiscation of the badge.
