What else is happening?

But that's not all! We have some fantastic activities lined up for spectators. Tees Valley Community Foundation is proud to support local community groups by organizing community sporting and creative activities. From community balance bike sessions to arts workshops, there will be something for everyone in the family to enjoy.

In addition to the amazing cyclists, we have a special treat for foodies. The Spoke Market, a one-off food market, will showcase the best of local food and drinks. You can also enjoy live music from local musicians and festival favorites Groove Inc. It's going to be a festival atmosphere you won't want to miss.

If you're a cycling enthusiast, make sure to check out Dan Mather's Pop-up Screen printing station. Dan, a nationally-renowned printer and a resident of Saltburn, will be there for its debut outing. Visitors will have the opportunity to create their very own limited edition print.

For your convenience, public toilets on Moore Street will be open during the event.

Getting here

To make the event more environmentally friendly, we encourage visitors to use alternative, eco-friendly modes of transport when traveling to Redcar. Cycling is a great option, or you can opt for public transport through Connect Tees Valley, which offers quick and easy travel planning.

If you prefer to drive, don't worry! Spectator parking will be well signposted. You can park at Kirkleatham Street, Seafield House, or Majuba Road, all of which are free after 6pm. These parking locations are just a 5 to 10-minute walk from the start/finish line. We highly recommend using these car parks, as there may be road and car park closures closer to the start/finish line.

Getting the most out of the race

To ensure your safety and enjoyment of the event, please keep these tips in mind:

  • The races progress at a fast pace, so please avoid standing in the road, even for photographs.
  • Once the lead car has passed, refrain from crossing the road, as the race will be coming at high speed.
  • Arrive early, as the race may go quicker or slower than planned. If you can't reach a start or finish location, check out other key climbs or points of interest along the route.
  • Plan your journey in advance, as some bus services may be suspended or delayed. Stay updated with travel operators.
  • Avoid parking on the roadside of the racecourse and find a safe off-road position for your vehicle.
  • Listen to the Marshalls; their guidance ensures your safety.
  • Support local businesses during your visit.
  • And lastly, enjoy the race! Wave those flags, smile, as you may even appear on TV. Let's show the UK what Redcar and Cleveland have to offer!
