Grass and hedge cutting
We are only responsible for grass and hedge cutting on our land throughout the borough.
The council is responsible for maintaining grass verges and hedges on Council owned public land. Areas of open grass land near to and around Beyond Housing properties may fall under the remit of Beyond Housing. If you notice any grass verges or hedges on public land that need cutting, please tell us about it.
Rural roads, grass verges and hedges are maintained once per year.
- Verges: May through to July
- Hedges: Late July through to September
Grass cutting is carried out by our teams which operates to specific Service Level Agreements (SLAs) which identify workloads, priorities, specification and timescales.
