The Assistant Director – Social Care and Early Help is responsible for providing strategic leadership for these areas of responsibility within The Children and Families Service of the Council.

£90,402 (pay award pending)

We are looking for an exceptionally talented leader who will bring a brighter future to every child and young person in Redcar and Cleveland.

This is an exciting time in Redcar and Cleveland as we have a new Directorate management team who have a clear vision of the Directorate’s ambitions to deliver outstanding services to children and families.  

This is an ideal opportunity to join them in shaping services and leading talented teams who are committed to improving outcomes and life chances for our children and young people.

We believe that investing in positive relationships is essential in supporting children and their families and our “Relationships First” practice model focuses on building relationships with children, families and each other. 

As our Assistant Director for Social Care and Early Help, you will be a qualified social worker who will ensure that we safeguard and nurture our most vulnerable children, support our families in need and work with our teams to continually improve.

You will work collaboratively with partners and other agencies to ensure that all children are given the best possible start in life and are well equipped and inspired to go on to fulfil their ambitions and potential.
