REDCAR AND CLEVELAND Business Engagement Team, in partnership with Redcar and Cleveland Business Network, are excited to announce a series of free, virtual masterclasses and virtual workshops, beginning this week, to support both new-start and established businesses currently operating in Redcar and Cleveland.
Funded by Anglo American, these free sessions have been specially designed to help businesses increase their knowledge, recover lost ground, maximise profits and support the business in better positioning themselves for the future.
The series will begin with a virtual introductory workshop on Thursday 28 October at 5:30pm, then operate twice a week for 5 weeks, commencing Monday 1 November - where Teesside industry professionals will deliver a masterclass and workshops on key areas of business.
There will also be an opportunity for Redcar and Cleveland based businesses to apply for funding towards the costs of a digital project to enhance their business. This might be funding towards a website, e-commerce site or a payment card reader. Part of the application process is a requirement to attend the workshops themselves and information regarding the grant will be announced at the 'Securing Funding for Businesses' workshop on Thursday 4 November.

“We're very pleased to be able to offer these free events for local businesses. The pandemic has had such an adverse effect on many existing businesses and stymied the development of new ones. Any support we are able to offer, particularly at no cost, to help people make a success of their ventures is great news for them and for our local economy. We encourage people to apply for the digital project funding too. Covid drove even more people online and to rely on technology such as contactless payment methods, and it seems that's here to stay."
