Residents of Redcar and Cleveland are being invited to give their views to help shape the future of the council's Waste and Recycling Service.
In a bid to boost the borough's recycling rates, Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council is consulting with residents to discover what barriers they are facing when trying to recycle their household rubbish.
In 2018/19, the council had a recycling rate of approximately 38%. It is the council's ambition to increase this to 50% by 2027 to help achieve its commitment to tackling climate change.
The survey is anonymous and should take less than 10 minutes to complete.
Cllr Barry Hunt, Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods and Environment at the Council, said: “As a council, we are always looking for ways to honour our commitment for a cleaner and greener environment and to create better value for money for our residents.
“We have declared a climate emergency and have a very ambitious target for the borough to become carbon neutral by 2030. This consultation is simply for us to get a better understanding of the barriers our residents face when they recycle, so we, as a council, can put the appropriate solutions in place.
“We value everyone's views and we're encouraging people to be honest to help us achieve our recycling target. All responses will be anonymous."
