Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council is consulting on proposals which would address a multi-million pound budget gap next year caused by inflation and service demand.
The Council’s Cabinet agreed to launch consultation with the public and businesses on proposals for its budget and fees and charges for 2023/24. The consultation will be open until January 17, 2023.
The Council faces shortfall of around £9.5m, primarily due to the current high level of inflation and a huge increase in demand for services, especially in social care.
