‘The Bramble Patch’ - Community Allotment Zetland Park Redcar

We are a group from Laughter and Leisure group. We are diverse, inclusive, and welcome anyone who wishes to join us. We all enjoy gardening and growing our own produce but also giving back to the community.

We would welcome like-minded people from all ages, and backgrounds to help with weeding, watering, planting, cutting, harvesting.

You’ll be using manual tools such as trowels, spades, hoes, rakes, forks, and wheelbarrows which you will need to use in a safe and efficient manner.

We’ll show you how to complete a task (knowing what needs weeding, transplanting etc) so hopefully you’ll be picking up some gardening tips and feel free to offer any you have too.

A risk assessment form will need to be completed, and you will need to wear suitable footwear and gloves. Refreshments are provided tea, coffee, and biscuits.

The group meet on Friday afternoon from 1-4pm.
