Job seekers in Redcar & Cleveland have the chance to meet a range of employers at a Jobs Fair taking place at Grangetown United Community Hub on Wednesday 18th August, between 10.00am -4.30pm.

Companies such as Flamingo Land, Imperial Workforce, RTS Wind Turbine, Meadowvale Care and many others, including employers directly connected to the Teesworks project will be attending the fair, excited to meet the residents and have discussions with potential applicants.

The job offers will cover areas such as Electrical and Mechanical Engineering and Technician, Manufacturing, Food Production, Demolition, and a lot more.

In addition, around 20 apprenticeships in fields such as Production, Care, Hospitality, Painting and Decorating and Animal Care together with over 50 kick start opportunities in Retail, Catering, Construction, Sales, Care, Sports and many others will be available at the fair through the Youth Hub Team.

Additional support on job applications and career advice will be made available on site by NCS and Routes. Attendants will get the chance to have an initial one to one discussion with a Work/Employment Adviser to identify issues followed by the possibility to arrange an appointment to receive further support for CVs/applications and career guidance.

Cabinet Member for Economic Growth, Wayne Davies said: “We are excited that such valuable employers will be present at the fair and we hope this will help our residents find the right jobs for them amongst the significant number of vacancies, apprenticeships and kick start opportunities. These events have always proved to be beneficial for both our people and the companies.

“The fair will be a fantastic occasion for employers and potential applicants to have a face-to-face interaction which will be advantageous for both sides. The Career Advisers will also be on hand to offer support to the attendants regarding the application process or finding the right career path."
