Close to 7000 people have now been vaccinated by the council's pop-up clinics, after 292 attended Grangetown on Saturday and a huge 1069 visited Saltburn on Monday.
As numbers climb, Redcar and Cleveland's vaccination rate is above the national average and more and more people are seeking boosters.
Today's (Thursday 9 December) session, supported by Eston Primary Care Network, is running at Grangetown United and Community Hub (Derwentwater Road, TS6 7PY) from 9am – 2pm. Covid vaccinations and boosters are available, without an appointment, for:
- Age 18 and over only
- 8 weeks between first and second doses
- Boosters available for all over 18s. Three months must have passed since your second jab.
The next clinic will be at Saltburn Cricket Club on Sunday 12 December, running from 10am - 6pm (Marske Mill Lane, TS12 1HJ).

On Wednesday 15 December, it is Redcar's turn again. From 10am – 5pm, the team will be on hand at Redcar and Cleveland College (Corporation Road, TS10 1EZ), supported by the Northumbria Roving Vaccine Unit. The offer at Redcar includes:

Councillor Steve Kay, Deputy Leader of the Council and Cabinet Member for Health and Welfare, said:
“The total number of people seen and vaccinated by our team now stands at a very impressive 6745, with several more clinics in the pipeline. It is fantastic that our borough's vaccination rate now exceeds the national average and that so many people are taking the responsible decision to protect themselves and their communities. Let's keep it going."
