Mayor to host charity ball in aid of two young people’s charities

The Mayor of Redcar and Cleveland, Councillor Carole Morgan, will host the Mayor's Charity Ball 2022 on Friday 29 April in aid of two local charities.

The event, to be held at the Turner Pavilion within Kirkleatham Walled Garden, will welcome guests from 7pm for a 7:30pm start and will go on until midnight.

It is designed to raise money to support the work of the Link Charitable Trust, who engage with children, young people and their families to promote a positive family life and relationships by providing supportive activities for all. Proceeds from the ball will also go to Rubies, another local charity which supports vulnerable girls, many of whom have faced adverse childhood experiences.

Guests can enjoy a three-course, black tie/evening wear dinner with tea and coffee from 7:30pm, and entertainment from live band, Striking Back, who will be performing music from across the decades. An auction/raffle/tombola will also take place, and donations for this would be gratefully received.

Mayor Carole Morgan said:

“I'm delighted to be holding my Charity Ball in the stunning Turner Pavilion at the new Kirkleatham Walled Garden in Redcar.

“Please come along and enjoy a fantastic evening with a superb dinner, then dance the night away with the group Striking Back.  It's a great opportunity for networking, raising money for charity, or simply to have fun with your family, friends or colleagues.

“All proceeds raised on the night will be going towards two very worthy local causes - Link Charitable Trust and Rubies; both charities are desperately in need of funds.

“I look forward to seeing everyone on the night."

Tickets to support these two good causes are £45 and can be purchased by contacting Jane Holmes on jane.holmes@redcar-cleveland.gov.uk or 01642 444501. Please also contact Jane to donate a prize, for menu choices or any further information.
